DVD-Video

The current format for films is the DVD Video. The single-sided DVD-5 can store up to 135 minutes of video film and the DVD-9 and DVD-10 about twice as much. The good image and sound quality are achieved by MPEG 2 and Dolby Digital 5.1 (AC-3). Features, such as up to 8 different languages, up to 32 subtitles and interactive menus, but also recordings from different viewing angles make the DVD an interesting medium for home entertainment.
